This tasty recipe’s protein is grass fed beef. Studies have found that grass-fed beef contains more antioxidants than grain-fed beef. Broccoli is a rich source of vitamins C, K, A and B9; it is also high in potassium, various minerals and fiber. Ginger is loaded with antioxidants as well as compounds that prevent stress and damage to your body's DNA. Garlic helps boost your body’s immune system and reduces high blood pressure. Coconut aminos contains significantly less salt than soy sauce. Using coconut aminos as a lower salt alternative in place of soy sauce is beneficial for heart health.
Ingredients
2 packages broccoli slaw or 9 cups shredded cabbage + 1 ½ cups shredded carrots
2 medium onions, finely chopped / minced
1½ T sesame oil
1½ teaspoon ginger (powdered)
½ teaspoon black pepper
4 cloves garlic, minced
1½ teaspoon salt
1/16 teaspoon stevia (or 4 T another sweetener)
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper (optional)
1 cup beef broth
4 teaspoons liquid or coconut aminos
1½ pound grass-fed ground beef
1. Place meat in large pan and cook until browned.
2. On medium high heat, add the onions and sesame oil. Cook until lightly browned.
3. Reduce heat to medium.
4. Add spices, sweetener, red pepper, and broth to the pan and stir well.
5. Add the broccoli slaw or cabbage and carrots and stir to coat.
6. Cook, stirring frequently until the broccoli or cabbage slightly wilts.
7. Add aminos to taste and adjust flavorings as desired.
8. Serve plain or over rice or cauliflower rice.
